The Family Liturgy takes place at 9:30 AM on Sundays and includes a Liturgy of the Word for children.
The FAMILY CATECHETICAL DAY
Our first Family Catechetical Day was February 16. Jackie Cronin, with Carol and Bob Kelly, planned a program springing from Jesus extending the gift of peace to his followers. Over 120 parents and children from Grades 1-4 prayed together with Fr. Bob; learned about St. Francis; discussed being better peacemakers; and made peace doves. Then the children sang and signed praise to God. Special thanks to the Knights of Columbus who prepared a feast of pasta and meatballs; Clara and Rosie Bello who stepped up to help with music and Georgia and Gabrielle Sabia who were invaluable helpers. Children are invited to go with catechists who speak to them on their level about the readings. Children are divided into two groups, Pre-K to first grade and second grade and above. They process back into church for the Liturgy of the Eucharist at the time of the presentation of the gifts.
